Neurosurgeon Launches Web Site Devoted to Back and Neck Pain
For Immediate Release:
Augusta, GA - Dr. Paul J. Houle, a neurosurgery resident of the Medical College of Georgia, has launched Spinetimes.com, a web site devoted to back and neck pain. This electronic magazine, (Ezine), covers such topics as the causes of spinal pain, recommended treatments for relief, the effectiveness of pain medications, new treatments and whether surgery is the best course of action.
The Ezine has articles written by spine surgeons, neurologists, pain management specialists and other health care professionals. The goal is to provide accurate information that is easy to understand and will help people make informed decisions about their care. It is published two times a month, and is free to all on-line subscribers.
The web site has several other features that are also useful to back and neck pain sufferers. The Resources section has information booklets and exercises that are easily downloaded for review. There are also links for people to find spine specialists in their area.
"SpineTimes was developed to educate patients on the cause of their spinal pain as well as advise them on treatments," said Doctor Houle. "Patients should always consult their physician. SpineTimes provides patients with another resource to help them better understand their condition."
